Rarity WIP pictures that I couldn’t submit at school because tumblr is blocked. I left before I could see any suggestions on what ponies to make, so I went with Rarity (mostly because she was the only one I thought I had the right colors to make. Well, outside the light shade of her hair). I just read Lyssea’s suggestion on Applejack, which I find so humorous because the spare fabric I brought with me is for making an Applejack! Funny how coincidences work.
Any who, I’ll probably try working on Rarity’s mane tomorrow. I’m probably going to try and get some sleep for the con tomorrow.
I’ll be heading back home soon so I can work on plush patterns. What kind of from-the-actual-show-MLP character plushies do you guys want to see me make (no princesses please, I’m not ready for that level of complexity)? Background characters? Some of the main six? Any ideas would be appreciated. No OCs, please.
I have a LOT of soft yarn to use for mane’s, so I probably will try to use that up before I start working with more 3D manes, like the one my Pumpkin Cake plush has.
Finally got her done. I replaced her old eyes with new iron-on ones, though they turned out a bit darker than intended. She’s got her flaws here and there, especially in the eyes, but all in all, I think the pattern turned out alright. She’s so adorbs, with her lopsided head and stubby lil legs, and so cuddly~ I didn’t make her diaper because the size ratio of her head and body was better fitted to the filly body type. So yeah, filly Pumpkin.
She’s a little over a foot tall and is currently for sale for $60 (mainly because she’s just.so.BIG. I have never made such a large pony plush before). If you are interested in buying her, just note me on Deviantart or send me message via my ask box on my page here. I will then require your address so I can see how much shipping will cost, then the money will need to be sent before I will ship her.
Tumblr shrunk Dappy’s ref before, so I tried separating it into segments. Hopefully they can be viewed at their normal sizes now.
So in that Pumpkin Cake plush I just submitted, I had to decide whether to go with show-accurate, or the shaded style I usually use in my drawings. Which would you guys prefer more on the pony plushes that will be for sale, the show-style eyes, or the shaded ones in my style (the eye shape is the same, the coloring is just different)?
I use iron-on transfers for the eyes, being I don’t own an embroidering machine (I want one so bad x_x ).
WIP shots of the Pumpkin Cake plush I’m making. I’m trying to keep her as show-accurate as I can, though her head is a little too small.
I just need to make her bow and horn, then replace those eyes (the transfers messed up), and she’ll be up for sale. She’s about a foot tall, which was bigger than I expected her to turn out. I had originally been making both the twins, but I don’t have the right fabric for Pound Cake (the kind I tried to use was too lightweight and the plush looked really distorted because of it), so only little Pumpkin here is getting made.
….She’s so cute, I almost want to keep her for myself.
I needed a Sun-Dapple reference made, so here you guys go. I tried to make her in the show’s style so it would be easier to see how her mane goes and such, though I had trouble getting to the simple style I was striving for.
It took forever for you guys to notice her cutie-mark had changed xD Back when I first made Sun-Dapple, her colors were pretty random and her CM had been made on the spot, so a few months back I redesigned it to fit her better. It’s all super detailed because Sun-Dapple is best at replicating what she wishes to paint in a realistic style, and prefers to do so, and spends a lot of time on the tiny details to get everything just right (the opposite of me, ironically), and the magic flowing from her paint brush stands for the magic she ties into her paintings, which usually are for effects, such as water rippling or the clouds moving.
I’ll type in some personality stuff and such next time I have access to internet. For now, I must sleep x_x
#1 from FallenZephyr’s Palette Challenge.
I didn’t plan on submitting any of my pictures from the challenge, being it’s just lighting and color control practice for me, but I’d like to keep this account updated more.
I didn’t intend for this to get so detailed, I was just bored and idly adding to the hair and suddenly it’s all detailed.
I’ll be heading back home tomorrow, so no more internet for me. I wish I could have drawn so more stuff to submit here, but I got distracted by so much other stuff that I didn’t get much up in the end.
I’m hoping to get back into sewing once I’ve returned home. Maybe the next time I can access some wifi, I’ll have something completed to show you all. Hopefully…
A step up from the doodles. Originally this was supposed to be all pastel-like, buuuttt….yeah.
